Maple Bourbon Baked Beans

1 Red bell pepper, chopped
½ Onion, chopped
2 cloves Garlic, chopped
2 (28 oz) cans Baked Beans
½ cup Brown Sugar
¼ cup Molasses
1 cup Jim Beam Maple Bourbon Barbeque Sauce
1/3 lb Ground Pork, Beef, or remove for vegetarian-friendly recipe


Preheat oven to 275°F.

Heat a large Dutch oven or other oven-proof pot over medium heat.

Once hot, add pork (if using) and cook until no longer pink.

Remove pork with slotted spoon, drain excess oil leaving approximately 1 tbsp behind.

If not using pork, preheat 1 tbsp of oil in the pan.

Add red pepper, onion, and garlic to Dutch oven and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.

Add the baked beans, cooked pork, and remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer.

Cover the pot and place in the preheated oven.

Bake for 45 minutes.
